Refund & Cancellation Policy

Effective date: 26/08/2026 · Version 1.0

Draft — needs your review before this is treated as final. The refund window and terms below are a reasonable starting default for a developer/API product, not a legal requirement — decide what's actually right for your business, and have a lawyer confirm it meets the consumer-protection rules in the countries you sell to before publishing.

1. Payments are processed by Paddle

All payments for NewsPulse.io are processed by Paddle.com Market Limited, who acts as the Merchant of Record and reseller of our Service. Paddle handles billing, invoicing, tax, and the actual refund transaction. Your purchase is also subject to Paddle's Buyer Terms and Paddle's own refund process, which independently guarantees certain statutory rights — for example, consumers in the EU/EEA/UK generally have a 14-day withdrawal right for a first purchase, unless you've already started using the Service with your consent. This policy describes our own service-level rules on top of that baseline; where the two conflict on eligibility for a specific refund, Paddle's terms govern the actual transaction.

2. Cancellation

You can cancel your subscription at any time, with no cancellation fee, from your account dashboard via the "Manage subscription" link (which opens your Paddle customer portal). Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period — you keep access and your API key keeps working until then, and you will not be charged again afterward.

3. Refunds

Monthly plans (Starter, Pro)

We don't offer partial refunds for the remainder of a billing period you've already paid for. Cancel any time to stop future charges — the current period runs out as normal.

Annual plans (Starter, Pro)

If you're not satisfied, request a refund within [14 days] of your initial annual purchase for a full refund. After that window, the same no-partial-refund rule as monthly plans applies for the remainder of the year.

Enterprise

Refund and cancellation terms for Enterprise plans are as set out in your individual order form or contract, since these are custom-quoted (see Get a quote).

To request a refund, contact us at support@newspulse.io, or use the refund link in the receipt email Paddle sent you at checkout. We reserve the right to decline a refund where we reasonably believe the request is fraudulent, abusive, or made after substantial use of a period already billed (outside the annual-plan window above).

4. What happens to your data and API key after cancellation

Your API key stops working at the end of your paid period. Your account and its data are retained per our Privacy Policy in case you resubscribe; you can request deletion at any time.

5. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We'll post the updated version here with a new effective date.
