1. Who this agreement is with
These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a legal agreement between you ("you," "Customer") and NewsPulse.io, registered at Street 64 # 8 45 ("we," "us"), governing your access to and use of the NewsPulse.io API and related services (the "Service"). By creating an account, obtaining an API key, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
2. The Service
NewsPulse.io provides programmatic access to a news intelligence API — clustered stories, ranked headlines, trending analysis, bias/sentiment data, and full-text search over aggregated news content — delivered via API keys tied to a subscription plan (Starter, Pro, or Enterprise). Plan features, rate limits, and pricing are described at newspulse.io/pricing and may change from time to time; material changes to a plan you're subscribed to will be communicated in advance where reasonably practicable.
3. Accounts and API keys
- You must provide accurate information when registering and keep it up to date.
- You are responsible for all activity under your account and API key, including usage by anyone you share it with. Keep your key confidential — treat it like a password.
- Only one active API key is issued per account at a time; regenerating a key immediately revokes the previous one.
- You must notify us promptly at support@newspulse.io if you believe your key has been compromised.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Exceed, circumvent, or attempt to circumvent your plan's rate limits (e.g., via multiple accounts, key sharing across unrelated parties, or automated key rotation to evade limits);
- Resell, sublicense, or provide the Service (or data obtained through it) to third parties as a competing or substantially similar API/data product, except as expressly permitted by your plan;
- Use the Service to build a product that misrepresents the origin of news content, or that removes/alters source attribution required under Section 6;
- Probe, scan, or test the Service's security, or interfere with its normal operation;
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose, or in a way that infringes a third party's rights.
We may suspend or terminate access for violations of this section, with notice where practicable.
5. Subscriptions, billing, and Paddle
Paid plans are billed on a recurring basis (monthly or annual, per your selection) through Paddle.com Market Limited, who acts as the Merchant of Record and reseller for all purchases — Paddle, not NewsPulse.io, is the seller you're contracting with for payment purposes, and your purchase is also subject to Paddle's Buyer Terms. We never receive or store your full payment card details. Cancellation, billing cycles, and refund eligibility are described in our Refund & Cancellation Policy.
6. Content, data, and third-party sources
The Service aggregates and indexes headlines, excerpts, and metadata from third-party news sources. We do not claim ownership over the underlying journalistic content, and nothing in these Terms transfers any rights in that content to you. You are responsible for ensuring your own use of data obtained through the Service (e.g., republishing headlines or excerpts) complies with applicable copyright and fair-use/fair-dealing law in your jurisdiction — we do not provide a license to republish full third-party articles. Canonical article links point to the original publisher.
Analytical outputs we generate ourselves — headline scores, clustering, sentiment/bias classifications, trend and velocity metrics — are provided "as is" for informational purposes and should not be treated as fact-checking, editorial endorsement, or investment/legal/medical advice.
7. Service availability
We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Pro and Enterprise plans include an uptime SLA as described on the pricing page; Starter does not. Scheduled maintenance will be communicated where practicable.
8. Termination
You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account dashboard or via the Paddle customer portal; access continues until the end of the paid billing period. We may suspend or terminate your account for breach of these Terms, non-payment, or suspected fraud or abuse. Upon termination, your API key is revoked and your right to use the Service ends; provisions that by their nature should survive (e.g., Sections 6, 9, 10) continue to apply.
9. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. To the maximum extent permitted by law, NewsPulse.io will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for lost profits or data, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the [12 months] preceding the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
10. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We'll post the updated version here with a new effective date, and for material changes we'll make reasonable efforts to notify active subscribers (e.g., by email) in advance.
